Plugin Load Times v4.0 for QGIS released

If QGIS takes long to start, it is probably because some of the plugins you installed take a long time to load at startup. Plugin Load Times shows load time of each QGIS plugin. It does not give you information about the speed of plugins when they are used. With the information provided by this plugin you can easily decide which plugins to disable, to make QGIS start faster. I released version 4.0 of Plugin Load Times.

Changelog for version 4.0

I changed the data source for the plugin to the QGIS application runtime profiler instead of the python variable qgis.utils.plugin_times, because that variable seems to be unmaintained. The QGIS application runtime profiler data now shows the same values as the “Debugging/Development Tools” panel.

Plugin Load Times for QGIS is also available in the Official QGIS Plugin Repository. You can install it from within QGIS. The source code is available on GitLab.

UPDATE (Oct. 3, 2023): Because of a bug the plugin only works if QGIS is set to English. In other languages the plugin doesn’t work yet.

UPDATE (Oct. 4, 2023): Version 4.0.1 is now available. This bug fix contains a temporary solution that makes sure it should work in all currently available language versions of QGIS.

UPDATE (Oct. 10, 2023): Version 4.0.2 is now available. This release has the correct metadata with the minimal QGIS version for this plugin to work, i.e. QGIS 3.16.
